Let's hear it for yawning
Have you ever felt concerned when you see someone yawn while you're training? Dr Gordon Gallup, a psychologist at the University of Albany in New York says that yawning is a reflex action that cools the brain which helps us to remain alert. A study found that paratroopers often group yawn before a jump.

What about the contagious effect of yawning? Only around half of people are susceptible and that half are generally more empathetic.

So, there's a lot to suggest that yawning is a good thing.
