£6 million about to be wasted
Volunteering charity TimeBank and faith-based charity FaithAction are among four organisations sharing £6 million awarded by the Department for Communities and Local Government to provide English language training for long-term UK residents with little or no knowledge of English.

One of the key issues in training is motivation. If people have been long-term residents and not yet been motivated to learn English I wonder what techniques these organisations will be using?

It's a rant, sadly.

Hopefully the four organisations who received the funding will have prepared detailed tender documents listing exactly how they are going to address that very issue.

That's how it works, right?
